Contour Glossary of Terms.

Understand the different options and terminology for purchasing Contour.

Named User: One person with full access to Contour all the time. Best for team members who are active users of Contour managing projects, requirements, use cases, tasks and other items.

Floating User: A user license that can be shared by multiple people with only one person logged in at a time. This is useful for team members who are less active on a daily basis but have a need to create, edit or manage items within Contour.

Collaborator Licenses: One of the key differentiators of choosing Contour. With the Contour Team Package, you get 25 free Collaborator licenses. This allows you to extend the use of Contour to other stakeholders who need real-time status updates and visibility into the system. Collaborator licenses provide read-only access with the ability to review items and add comments.

Premium Support Plan: At Jama, we don't believe in complex, multi-tier support plans. Every Contour customer gets premium support which includes:

• All product updates and iterative releases
• Unlimited email and phone support during standard business hours (8am - 5pm PDT). For International customers, support is offered via our value-added partners in your local time zone and language.
• 24/7 access to our online customer community and support forum, Jama Backstage

Contour Team Package: Contour is designed for enterprise organizations. The Contour Team Package is the starting point for teams of 10 or more. See the benefits that are included in the Contour Team Package.

Contour On-Site: The option for companies that want to leverage their own infrastructure and manage the solution in-house behind their own firewall. Sold as perpetual licenses with a renewal annual premium support plan.

Contour On-Demand: The hosted option of Contour. No hardware or software to install, we manage it all for you. Automatic product upgrades and daily data backups, along with 24/7 availability. Sold as a renewable annual subscription with support plan included.

Contour On-Demand Private: The private hosted option. With Contour On-Demand Private, your On-Demand account is hosted on a private, dedicated server exclusive to your company. This option includes an additional hosting charge. Contact a Jama Account Manager for more information.

Perpetual License Model: Applicable to the software option of Contour. With the perpetual model, you buy user licenses, either Named or Floating, and then just renew annual support for subsequent years.

Annual Subscription Model: Applicable to the hosted options of Contour On-Demand. The annual subscription includes all support and automatic product upgrades. You buy a subscription to the service based the number of users you need.
