EU-U.S. Privacy Shield and SWISS-U.S. Privacy Shield
Jama participates in and has certified its compliance with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework. Jama is committed to subjecting all personal data received from European Union (EU) member countries and Switzerland, respectively, in reliance on each Privacy Shield Frameworks, to the Framework’s applicable Principles. Jama is responsible for the processing of personal data it receives, under the Privacy Shield Framework, and subsequently transfers to a third party acting as an agent on its behalf. Jama complies with the Privacy Shield Principles for all onward transfers of personal data from the EU and Switzerland, including the onward transfer liability provisions.
With respect to personal data received or transferred pursuant to the Privacy Shield Frameworks, Jama Software is subject to the regulatory enforcement powers of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. In certain situations, Jama may be required to disclose personal data in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.

Jama has further committed to cooperate with EU data protection authorities (DPAs) with regard to unresolved Privacy Shield complaints concerning human resources data transferred from the EU in the context of the employment relationship.Under certain conditions, more fully described on the Privacy Shield website [https://www.privacyshield.gov/article?id=How-to-Submit-a-Complaint], you may invoke binding arbitration when other dispute resolution procedures have been exhausted.
Information Related to Data Collected for our Clients
Jama collects information under the direction of its Clients, and has no direct relationship with the individuals whose personal data it processes. If you are a customer of one of our Clients and would no longer like to be contacted by one of our Clients that use our service, please contact the Client that you interact with directly. We may transfer personal information to companies that help us provide our service. Transfers to subsequent third parties are covered by the service agreements with our Clients.
Legal basis for processing (EEA visitors only):
If you are a visitor from the European Economic Area, our legal basis for collecting and using the personal information described above will depend on the personal information concerned and the specific context in which we collect it.

Access and Retention of Data Controlled by our Clients
Jama has no direct relationship with the individuals whose personal data it processes. An individual who seeks access, or who seeks to correct, amend, or delete inaccurate data should direct his query to the Jama’s Client (the data controller). If the Client requests Jama to remove the data, we will respond to their request within 30 days.
We will retain personal data we process on behalf of our Clients for as long as needed to provide services to our Client. Jama will retain and use this personal information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Jama may use this information to connect with users on social networks for future sales and marketing efforts.
Information Collection and Use
The Jama Website collects the following information from you:
- Contact Information such as name, company email address, phone number
- Demographic information such as country and state
- Information about your business such as company name, company size, business type
- We obtain business contact information about you from third party sources, such as Dun and Bradstreet, to provide better account management support.
Jama collects site visitor information to:

- Assess the needs of your business to determine suitable products
- Create a Free Trial Account
- Send you requested service information

If you choose to invite your colleagues to our website, we will ask you for your colleague’s name and email address. We will automatically send a one-time email inviting him or her to visit the website. Jama stores this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email and tracking the success of our referral program. We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Should you provide information and opt-in to marketing, we will use your name and email address to send you periodic email from Jama. Those who opt-in might also receive additional announcements from us about product updates, services or the company newsletter. Request that we stop using your information:
You may request that your personal information no longer be accessed, stored, used and otherwise. Where you gave us consent to use your personal information for a limited purpose, you can contact us to withdraw that consent.
