STEP ONE: Determine whether you'd like to buy or rent.
- Buy it. Perpetual Licenses grant you lifetime use of Contour. Support and maintenance is an additional 20% of the original license price, and can be renewed each year.
- Rent it. Term Licenses grant you the use of Contour over a defined term of 12 months. At the end of the annual subscription, the licenses may be renewed. If the licenses are not renewed, the use of Contour will expire.

STEP TWO: Select the mix of license types that fits your needs.
- Named User: Allows a single user unlimited access at all times. Ideal for team members actively involved in the product planning and development and need ability to add/edit/delete projects, requirements and other items.
- Floating User: Allows multiple users to share a license, but only one user may be logged in at a time. Ideal for team members or contractors that are intermittently involved and need ability to add/edit/delete items.
- Collaborator: Allows multiple users to share a license, but only one user may be logged in at a time. Ideal for QA team members who need to organize and manage testing and for stakeholders who need visibility into projects to see status, review items and provide feedback without full write capabilities.
- Reviewer: Allows multiple users to share a license, but only one user may be logged in at a time. Review access only (within Review Center) for a single user.

STEP THREE: Choose how you'd like Contour to be hosted.
- Local Installation. You can install Contour locally as Contour On-Premise.
- Jama Hosted. We can host Contour for you as Contour On-Demand.
If you'd like to switch between Contour On-Demand and Contour On-Premise later, your data will be safe and we will ensure you experience a smooth transition. Jama provides this service through our technical consultants. Contact us to discuss further.

Support & Maintenance
Support and maintenance is an additional 20% of the original, annual license price. Costs can be pro-rated
across additional Contour licenses to enable a single renewal date across your organization (coterminous
billing). The first year of maintenance is required.
Jama's Standard Maintenance & Support includes:
- Support coverage Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (PST), excluding major holidays
- Telephone, email, and online technical support
- Free product upgrades and iterative releases
- 24/7 access to our online support forum and knowledge base: http://support.jamasoftware.com

If we decide to rent Contour initially, can we switch to buy it later?
Yes. You can switch from term to perpetual at any time. Any unused portion of your term licenses will credit 100% towards your purchase.

Is maintenance and support required?
Yes. Maintenance is required for the first year, and is an additional 20% of the original, annual license price. Maintenance is then renewed annually thereafter for all licenses purchased.
