Chief Executive Officer, Co-Founder
CEO Eric Winquist sets the strategic vision for Jama, a company he founded in 2007 after witnessing first-hand the common frustrations companies face in delivering products to market. With more than 20 years experience in product development and entrepreneurship, he is passionate about reinventing product delivery in the enterprise. Eric’s interest and background in the psychology of work and motivation has informed many of the innovations in Jama’s collaboration software. Jama is one of the fastest-growing enterprise software companies in the United States, having been repeatedly recognized by Inc. and Forbes as a model of growth and innovation. Chief Financial Officer
Barry guides financial operations for Jama as the company continues its period of growth. Formerly President, CFO and COO at digital visual media licenser Corbis, Barry brings more than two decades of experience driving key strategic initiatives for startups and established organizations within the enterprise software, online services, digital media and real-estate sectors. He also spent six years with Coopers & Lybrand in its Seattle office. With experience managing all functional areas within an enterprise, in addition to mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, investment capital raising, and IPO preparation, Barry enjoys helping company leaders establish an organizational vision as they build the infrastructure necessary to maximize shareholder value.

Vice President of Business Development and General Counsel
Bill is responsible for worldwide legal affairs and corporate business development at Jama. In this role, Bill oversees strategy and success for all of Jama’s international and domestic alliances, partnerships and acquisitions. He is responsible for sourcing and managing channel and technology partners to enable Jama to scale and expand in all facets of the business. As General Counsel he oversees all corporate, commercial, IP, litigation, compliance, privacy and other legal matters pertaining to the company. Before joining Jama, Bill held a similar role at publicly traded Jive Software, where he was instrumental in readying and guiding the company through its IPO and several acquisitions and partnerships. Bill has a long track record in technology, having founded and served as managing partner of Alto Law Group, with earlier stints at Stoel Rives LLP and at the Silicon Valley-based law firm of Cooley Godward.
He received his JD from UCLA, and his Bachelor of Arts in history from Haverford College. When he is not acting as Jama consigliere, Bill spends most of his time being as active as possible in the yard, in the kitchen, on the trail and wrestling with his two boys. Reach Bill on his LinkedIn.
Vice President of Product and Marketing
Jennifer brings more than 20 years experience in product and business line management for both iterative and sequential software and hardware development environments. Prior to joining Jama, Jennifer directed product strategy for cloud-based platform start-ups, mid-stage manufacturing companies and multinational financial institutions.
Jennifer has spent the bulk of her career working closely with strategic clients and key customer segments to develop, iterate and market products that uniquely address core user and business needs. She continues this work at Jama, where user experience, validation and satisfaction are the top priority.

Vice President of Customer Success
Patti heads the teams that ensure long-term customer success, from initial implementation and deployment to adoption and mastery of Jama. Her expertise spans the full life cycle of customer engagement and includes more than 15 years working with nascent technology companies to drive new solution adoption, ensure customer retention, deliver top-notch support and attain overall success. Patti has defined and managed client engagement and professional services for a broad range of enterprise SaaS organizations.
Patti is a graduate of the University of Vermont. Away from the hustle and bustle of the office, Patti also ensures the ongoing happiness and success of her four kids. She considers herself “hobby-challenged,” thanks to aforementioned four children.

Vice President of Engineering
A seasoned technology industry veteran, Jamey has been building and leading operational teams since 1997. In addition to managing collaborative SaaS development projects, Jamey brings a skillset that includes creating scalable infrastructures to support expansion, establishing standardized processes, and integrating business systems, tools and metrics based on the principles of value engineering. He comes to Jama from digital media sports provider SportsLabs, where he defined and implemented the company’s product strategy.
Jamey has an MS in Marketing from the University of Colorado and an MBA in Management from the University of Portland. Vice President of People
Susy is an accomplished people-focused leader with more than 15 years of experience in various business and human resources leadership roles. Prior to joining Jama she developed employment strategies that drove growth at Jive Software and InFocus. As a veteran member of executive leadership teams, Susy has focused on global strategies that attract, align and engage world-class teams. She is the HR Leadership Exchange chair for the Technology Association of Oregon and is a founding member of the Portland Cooperative Education Program at Portland State University.

Vice President of European Business Development
Keith is an accomplished executive with more than 20 years of experience in the software industry, including three Fortune 500 companies. He has a proven track record of growing successful software organizations delivering high quality products, and experience leading acquisitions for company growth. Keith describes himself as a “Project Manager at heart,” and he knows the importance of team collaboration and sound requirements for project success. Prior to joining Jama, Keith has experience in both the public and private sectors.

Customer Engagement Executive
Lori is an accomplished executive with over 20 years experience managing large-scale development projects and services organizations, with a proven track record of delivering customer satisfaction and growth. Recognized as a creative problem solver, strong communicator and team leader, Lori runs the professional services and support organizations focused on delighting customers. Prior to Jama, Lori was the COO of Grist.org, a nonprofit environmental news and multimedia organization. Her previous work experience includes management roles in custom application development, project management, systems design and business process improvement for Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. (ACS), Salomon Brothers and as a consultant managing teams through organizational change.

Derwyn Harris is Co-founder and Product Manager at Jama Software. As an engineer, consultant and trainer, with broad experience deploying complex software-integration projects of all sizes, Derwyn has a uniquely agile personality, managing effectively in numerous environments. He is passionate about standards and about his customers, constantly seeking to understand development trends and how they impact his customers’ success. As a competitive cyclist and extreme outdoors athlete, his philosophy for sustaining passion is finding the balance between intensity and moderation, which translates to his day job advising software developers not to over-complicate their process. Sean is the chief architect of Jama and an experienced developer of sophisticated Web 2.0 technologies built on open standards. Sean brings over 15 years of software engineering experience, including prior start-up experience with Hubat, a search technology company.
Sean has a masters degree in computer science from Tsinghua University in Beijing, as well as a Masters of computational linguistics from Carnegie Mellon University. He lives with his wife and two kids in Portland.

General Partner, Trinity Ventures
Karan joined Jama’s board as a General Partner at Trinity Ventures, where he strategically invests in start-ups focused on product development, big data, SaaS, cloud computing and enterprise software. At Trinity, Karan led the investments in Act-On Software, ScaleArc, RJMetrics and Cloudability and works closely with portfolio companies ShopIgniter and Taulia. Prior to Trinity, Karan was a Senior Associate at Scale Venture Partners and a Strategic Sales Account Manager at Synopsys. Karan is an active member of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Silicon Valley and a Charter Member of C100. He holds a master’s in management science from Stanford and a BA in electrical engineering from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada.
Managing Director at Madrona Venture Group
Tim is Managing Director of Madrona Venture Group, and a board observer for Jama. At Madrona, Tim focuses on the software, infrastructure, and wireless sectors and is particularly interested in SaaS, cloud computing, next-generation enterprise data centers, and opportunities created by new mobile platforms. Tim also serves on the boards of buuteeq, Context Relevant, and Union Bay Networks and is a board observer for Apptio, ExtraHop Networks, Impinj, Jobaline, Skytap, Smartsheet, Tier3, and Z2. Prior to joining Madrona in 2006, Tim was a key member of Microsoft’s Corporate Development group, where he shared responsibilities for sourcing, structuring, and negotiating Microsoft’s acquisitions, strategic investments and joint ventures. While at Microsoft, Tim focused on enterprise software, security, and mobile and closed 14 transactions for over $850 million. Outside of work, Tim is a sports junkie and enjoys watching and playing basketball, despite having lost the step he never had. He received his bachelor¹s degree in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Chairman of the Board at Nanometrics
Bruce has served on the Jama board since its inception. Since 2007, Mr. Rhine has served as the Chairman of the Board of Nanometrics, a publicly traded company in the semiconductor market, previously holding executive leadership positions as their CEO and Chief Strategy Officer. In addition to Jama and Nanometrics, Bruce has vast board experience, currently serving on the boards of Nor-Cal Products, Columbia Nutritionals and Phoseon, with past board service including Tylan-General, Sensys Instruments, Obsidian, NEXX Systems, Timbre Technologies, Accent Optical Technologies and Pivotal Systems. An active investor in the local startup community and an advisor to three venture funds, Bruce previously has held numerous corporate executive roles and successfully raised over $100m. Bruce holds a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering and an M.B.A. in Finance from Penn State University.
Oregon Angel Fund
Drew joined Jama Software’s board as a member of the Oregon Angel Fund (OAF). In addition to OAF, Drew is an active investor and consultant to early stage companies, as well as former M&A advisor at Tripwire, Inc., an emerging leader in security software. Drew has extensive experience in venture capital investing, mergers and strategic consulting. He was with Intel for 12 years, most of it with Intel Capital, where he led investments in over 20 companies, supported M&A efforts and oversaw corporate development strategy for several divisions. Drew’s experience spans multiple industry sectors, from Internet software and services, to communication systems and components, to notebook subsystems such as batteries and displays. Prior to Intel, Drew was with McKinsey & Company, where he focused on corporate, marketing and sales strategy for a range of industrial clients. Drew holds an MBA, summa cum laude, from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management and a BS in Applied Mathematics from Brown University.
Jon Seeber is a Partner with Updata Partners. He has more then ten years of experience in technology and technology investments. Previously, Jon worked for IBM Global Services Business Development, where he managed acquisition, divestiture, investment, and partnership activities for IBM’s largest business unit. From 1998 to 2002, Jon served on active duty in the US Air Force. He holds two U.S. patents in network optimization and network security.
Jon is a graduate of Duke University and holds a M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
