IBM DOORS 9.x Migration

Jama supports two paths for migrating your data from DOORS 9:

  1. Jama in-app importer: Users can export a DOORS 9 module as HTML that includes items, fields, and relationships and import it directly into Jama through the out-of-the-box import flow. This is a simple self service approach to migrating data.
  2. Migration service: For situations where a more complete migration is necessary we have designed a service offering that includes a pre-built utility to map your data in DOORS to your structure in Jama. This highly beneficial service takes into account that you are not just looking for a DOORS replacement but are looking for process improvements that often require considerable subtle yet important data mappings.

Contact Jama to learn more about which migration flow best works for you.

Additional Migrations

Jama supports additional migrations through our professional services team, whose experience can help customers map both their data as well as their process to Jama. There are important considerations when migrating from another system – with the biggest being how a new solution like Jama will be used. Jama’s differentiation is how it brings teams together and allows them to work more iteratively, which is very different from legacy systems that restrict access and limit the collaborative benefits. Taking advantage of this difference allows for significant gains in efficiency and thus requires considering how the data is mapped and organized.
