What is an Organization?

An Organization, as it applies to Contour, represents the entire group of users who have access into a Contour account.

Depending on what product is purchased and how Contour is configured, an Organization could be an entire team or company.  In terms of data, an Organization embodies all the Users, Projects, Items and all the other related data in a Contour application.

Note:  Each Organization requires its own License however, Contour is multi-tenant and, depending on a companies size and structure, can have multiple Organizations created if needed. Contact Jama if considering separate Organizations.

To manage Contour Organization, one Administrator is needed.  An Administrator has full administrative control of Contour and has the highest level of permissions within an Organization.  An Organization can have as many Administrators as needed.  The System Admin role is for setup and configuration of the application, including Organizations, and does not have access to projects within Contour.  There is only one user login (root) for the System Admin and the rights can not be altered or assigned to other users.

Projects

The Projects in an Organization define the different portfolios of work to be executed by the team or company.
