Viewing an Item

There a several areas within Contour where you have the opportunity to view an individual Item's detail.  The detail will often be displayed within a tab in Contour's center panel, however you often have the option to preview the detail of an Item without opening a new tab or closing a window you are viewing.

•Selecting an Item directly from the Explorer or Releases View opens the Item in a tab of the center panel.

•Click on the ID link that is available in areas such as the Relationships' element, Suspect Links, Impact Analysis and Recent Activities view available on the Dashboard.

•Finally, when viewing the Trace Matrix, double-click on the Item's name to view its detail.

Preview Item

Sometimes you want to see an Item's detail but you don't want to open a new tab in the center panel view. To open a pop-up window showing the Item's detail, right-click on an Item and select Preview Item within the Explorer View, Releases View or a list.
