The Explorer view displays Project Items in a hierarchal structure and allows you to drag and drop Components, Sets, Folders and Items.

Note: When working with large amounts of Items – greater than 1,000 per folder, we suggest turning off the Items in the Explorer tree and working with them in the List view located in the right hand pane. Click on a Component, Set, or Folder to view items in the right hand pane (Click Actions and then List View).
To move multiple Items, rather than multi-select in the Explorer view, you can multi-select in the List view and drag them to their new location in the Explorer view.
Explorer Settings
Click the Configure Explorer button in the Explorer to open the Explorer Settings window. The system default explorer settings can be modified in the Default Settings tab of the Explorer Settings window.
Note: Only users with administrative privileges can modify the default explorer settings.

Use my own settings |
Users can override the default explorer settings with their own personal settings. |
Show item IDs |
Will prepend all items in the explorer with their ID |
Show only folders / hide items |
This will hide any regular items from displaying in the explorer. Components, Sets, and Folders will still display. This option is useful for performance when there are large amounts of items in the explorer. |
Show outline numbering |
Outline numbering is the numbering scheme of order and depth in the explorer tree. Root level items will be numbered like 1; 2; 3. Children items will contain the parent item number and its own number scheme such as 1.1; 1.2; or 1.1.5. |
Show Relationships in Tree |
When enabled, the explorer will display downstream relationships of items in the tree. See Relationships for details on the additional Relationship Filter settings. Warning: Be careful of infinite loops as the tree will expand through relationships that relate back to an item. |
