The System Administrator is typically someone with technical knowledge that installed Contour on the server and can configure additional settings such as LDAP or Active Directory settings, SMTP Mail Server and can upload custom reports.

Contour uses a special user account named "root" for system administrative settings.

 

System Admin - Root User

Contour includes a built in special user called "root" that has extended access to advanced settings.  Most of these settings are not available to a Contour Administrator.  To see all of Contour's permissions please visit Configuring Permissions.

To login as the Root User the default settings are:

UserID = root

Password = password

Make sure to change this password to a secure password via the My Profile link located in Contour's header.
