Contour uses a server-side spell checker for rich text editor fields. Click the spell check button inside of the rich text editor to check for spelling errors. We recommend using the spell checker with Internet Explorer.

Note: The server-side spell checker supports the English language only.

IESpell

Contour can also be configured to use IESpell which was used in previous installations of Contour.

The first time you select the spell check button in the rich text editor tool bar, you’ll be prompted to install IESpell. Accept to install IESpell and a spell check application is installed to work with Internet Explorer.

Once installed you can check spelling in the Rich Text Editor by using the spell check button - or on any page with your Internet Explorer, right-click and choose the Check Spelling option from the menu.

If the initial install of IESpell fails, please contact your network or Contour Administrator for further assistance.

Firefox

We recommend using Firefox 3.0 which includes integrated spell checking.
