Contour provides advanced report and document generating capabilities that are run from two locations.

Global Reports

Global Reports are run from the ‘Reports’ button on the main Contour toolbar at the top of your screen and can be run from anywhere within Contour.

Clicking on the Reports button will bring up the reports window. Reports can be arranged into a Favorites and an Other Reports section.

Exports

Any results lists or information currently displayed on the screen in the central panel is considered context sensitive data. Context sensitive reports can be  exported using the Export drop down in the center pane. If the Export drop down is not available then context sensitive reports can not be generated from the information currently in the center panel.

Export to Excel - Contour will export all of the Items in the center panel to a Microsoft Excel document.
i.When executed in a Reading View, Contour will export all of the Items' name and description fields in sorted order into 2 columns of a spreadsheet.
ii.When executed in a List View, Contour will export all of the Items in list form. In sort order, each of the Items will display its name followed by a list of the other field values currently visible in the center pane. Each column will contain a different field.
iii.This report is based on an Office Template report and contains a boiler plate that can be modified. To download the current format of the report, click the Office Template option under the Export drop down. In the Office Templates window select the "Export to Excel Default" followed by the "Download Template" button. See the Office Template section for additional details.
Export to Word - Contour will export all of the Items in the center panel to a Microsoft Word document.
i.When executed in a Reading View, Contour will export all of the Items' name and description fields in sorted order similar to how the Reading view appears.
ii.When executed in a List View, Contour will export all of the Items in list form. In sort order, each of the Items will display its name followed by a list of the other field values currently visible in the center pane.

Office Template - Clicking this option will open the Office Templates window which displays the available Office template reports, custom reports, and other existing Contour reports. These reports can also be arranged into a Favorites and an Other Reports section.
i.Existing Contour reports include: All Items Details Report, Coverage Report, and the Excel Roundtrip Report. Click on each report to view details about each one.
ii.Custom velocity reports added in the System Administration or Organization will also be made available here.
iii.Use this option to modify the "Export to Excel" and "Export to Word" report boiler plate formats.
