A baseline is a "snapshot" of Items within a Project at a certain point in time. When you create a baseline, the system stores a baseline label on the current version of each Item that you have included in the baseline. It is useful to create a baseline at each significant event or milestone - for example when the requirements are complete, after change requests, after a Release, etc.
Once a baseline has been recorded, users with access to the project can apply an electronic signature.
There are several options available to help in the selection of the Items to be included in the new baseline.
Releases |
All Items within a selected release will be included in the baseline. |
Projects |
All Items in the project will be included in the baseline. |
Sets |
All Items in the selected Set will be included in the baseline. |
Filters |
All Items that are the result of the Filter. Be aware that the results of a filter may change or the filter may be edited. |
Item Selections |
Option to select individual Items from within the Project. Selection of a folder within a Set will include all Items within the folder by default. |
