Contour features an internal link system that can be accessed through the "Link" icon on the rich-text options bar. This system makes it possible to link to other pages within Contour such as sets and items. It also allows to create direct links to attachment files easily which can be used by reviewers in the review center.
First, click on the Link icon:
Next, choose an item to link to in Contour. There are five different tabs for finding items:
| • | Recently Viewed - This tab shows all recently viewed items. |
| • | Explorer - This tab shows the explorer view to find items by navigating the project hierarchy. |
| • | Releases - This tab shows the release view to find items by release. |
| • | Search - This tab allows the user to type in a search term to find items. |
| • | Attachments - This tab allows the user to link to an attachment by uploading a file from their local machine or selecting an existing attachment. |
Additionally, Users can add in their own URLs and Text manually by typing directly in the URL and Text boxes respectively.
Click the desired item to populate the link. If you want to change the text of the link, use the "Text" field. Click Select to insert the link into the rich-text field.
To edit an existing link, highlight a portion or all of the selected link in the rich text field and select the Link icon again.
To unlink an existing link, highlight a portion or all of the selected link in the rich text field and select the Unlink icon. Unlinking will preserve the text but remove the underlying link to the Contour item.
