Starting an import will open the Import Wizard window. The The Import Wizard will walk through the import process of selecting a file, mapping or configuring options for the import, providing a preview of the resulting import, and an option to save the import mapping settings.

Note: The Import Wizard will evaluate the file type that you are attempting to import and provide options specific to the file type. The import will not continue if the system does not recognize the file extension.

Start Import

Access the Import option from the Project menu or via the right-click menu from the Explorer.

importStart

Select the file to be imported.  The wizard will evaluate the file extension to determine if it can be imported.
Ensure the Destination field correctly indicates where the Import should begin inserting the newly created Items.  The destination can be changed by clicking on the magnifier icon.
Select Field Mapping option provides the ability to pick any import configurations that have been previously saved within the Project for the same file type.  At the end of a successful import the user is presented with the option to save the Field Mapping for reuse in the Project.
The optional encoding value determines the character set encoding used during the import. The default setting is UTF-8.

Note: Clicking on the button "Delete an existing field mapping" allows the removal of any Field Mapping saved within the Project.
