The Coverage Explorer allows users to easily view and export multiple levels of traceability in Contour with meaningful information. Users can access the Coverage Explorer by selecting the Project drop down followed by "Traceability" and "Coverage Explorer".

Coverage Views
| • | Views can be accessed and created in the coverage explorer by any user with Read permissions to the project. |
| • | Only the creator can rename or delete the view. |
| • | A view can only contain a maximum of 500 items per level. |
| • | Users can favorite a view to highlight and prioritize any views. |
Adding a Coverage View
Click on the Add Coverage View button on the top left of Coverage Explorer. Choose the set of items to be used as the origin. Coverage explorer can view sets from the normal item explorer, the releases view or the filter view.
Note: The preview button will only show the item page, it will not preview the actual coverage view.


Configure Viewable Columns
Click on the gear icon to enter the view configuration window, similar to the List View. Views can be customized at every level in the Coverage Explorer.

Adding Levels
Click on the
button to add a level of relationships downstream from the origin.Only one type of item can be added for each level.

Exporting a Coverage View
Click on the Export button at the top right of the window to export the coverage view to Microsoft Excel. Excel will maintain the columns added from configuring the view.
