In addition to enhancing the
JIRA and
Enterprise Architect Connectors, we've added a new integration with Atlassian Crowd for user management and single sign-on. Your Contour Admin will love all the time the Crowd integration will save.

Inline Editing :: Quickly edit items from a single view to save time.

Enterprise Architect Integration :: Connect requirements with UML models.
The new
Jama Connector for Enterprise Architect provides a seamless integration between Contour and Enterprise Architect, the popular UML modeling tool from Sparx Systems. The Connector allows EA users to import requirements managed in Contour and connect those requirements to design UML models for software design inside Enterprise Architect. Watch the video.
Baselines :: The most flexible baselining feature available on the market.
Baselines can now be taken for releases, sets, filters and individual items, providing you incredible flexibility to use baselines for how your team works. Use baselines to flag significant events and run comparison reports to understand the deltas between baselines. Watch the video.
Electronic Signatures :: Capture approvals to help with compliance standards.
To help organizations meet compliance standards such as FDA 21 CFR Part 11 in the medical industry, users can add electronic signatures to a baseline, captured with a time and date stamp for audit trail tying the signature to the individual user along with the document.
Change Request Enhancements :: Track versions of items within change requests.
Contour provides the ability to manage requirements and other items that are involved in change requests. Each item denotes the version when the change request was introduced and the version of the item that fulfills the change request.
Administration :: Enhanced management of users, groups & permissions.
We streamlined the process for creating new users and assigning users to groups. In addition, we added the ability to grant users with project-level admin permissions the right to create their own groups. This enables better project-level administration in large organizations. Watch the video.

What would you like to see added to Contour?
We believe the smartest person is everyone, and always appreciate customer feedback. Join us in planning our future releases, by submitting your feature requests in our Jama Support forum.
Practicing what we preach, we log feature requests in our own use of Jama Contour, analyze them and assign them to a release. Our development team then breaks the releases into sprints that are managed at a task level within JIRA. Through our Jama and JIRA integration, we close the loop on status of a release being complete and produce our Release Notes as a report from Contour to communicate new features and bug fixes.
