Searching for items in Jama is pretty simple. In this video, we’ll show you the basics of search and how to adjust the scope of your search. This will allow you to search beyond the scope of your project or narrow down your search results.
When you log into Jama, the search field is located in the top-right area of the screen. Some out-of-box fields, such as name and description, are indexed in the database for easy searching. By default, the Project radio button is selected, which means when you perform the search, Jama will return results for items within your particular project. You may expand the scope of the search to all projects within the organization; select “All” and re-do the search. One thing to note is that Jama will only return items which you have permissions to see. Even if you select “all” you might not actually get all the results in the database because my permissions may be limited to a few projects.
Sometimes when you search, you get too many results and you want to search further within the results you get. Select the “Results” button and choose a different term to search. You can further narrow search by using item-type filters.
That is the basics on searching in Jama Jama requirements management tool.
