Jama Software has been listed on the Forbes annual ranking of America’s Most Promising Companies for the second year in a row – a list of 100 privately held, high-growth companies with bright futures. We’re pleased by the recognition, but not completely surprised. As Forbes points out, we have realized amazing year-over-year revenue growth since we launched our first product five years ago; in the past three years alone, revenue has increased 1724.96%. And we’ve done this without taking institutional investment, something Forbes noticed.
We share this honor with our customers. They are the ones out there reinventing the way they work, building better products and out-innovating their competitors.
We are happy to see some of our fellow Portland start-ups make the list. Congratulations to the teams at Elemental and Act-On! It’s funny – when I talked to the reporter from Forbes, she asked if we had any “quirky” business practices. Things like custom bike racks, catering by bicycle, onsite food trucks or company meetings at which a gong is sounded? Nah. That’s just basic Portland business as usual.
