I'll tell you why I asked. As I understand it you guys are doing this... well first to be good world citizens which I applaud you for.. but also to gain some potential PR buzz and hopefully drive people to sign up for your site here in the US. I had another thought, our site is actually targeting those entrepreneurs in the developing nations of South America. So KIVA's users are our target. Instead of paying Google adWords we could donate to KIVA, help out entrepreneurs AND reach our target audience as long as KiVA informs those entrepreneurs on the ground who we are this could be an amazing idea. Thanks for posting this and bringing your idea to the rest of us!

James, yes - you get updates from the entrepreneurs via Kiva email notices. I just got several updates yesterday in fact about a few our recipients.

Great idea guys.
When you have a moment, check out www.kivab4b.com. You could use the new KivaB4B card (or your Advanta card if you happen to be customer already) and the bank will double your Kiva loans up to $200/month. Also, posted about you on the KivaB4B blog, http://b4bcommunity.org/2008/06/geurilla-marketing-meets-cause.html
