OVERVIEW

Jama Software provides Contour, the leading web based solution for enterprise requirements management.  Our solution is designed for rapid deployment and use throughout an organization providing an instant collaborative environment and rapid return on investment.

Contour's intuitive design simplifies the requirements management process which enables teams of all sizes and methodologies to benefit.  We believe that requirements management is too critical to leave to chance and teams need an alternative to expensive propitiatory legacy software.

Jama Software is a privately held corporation that was launched in 2006. Our flagship product, Contour was released in 2007 in the US and in Europe in 2nd quarter 2007.  Contour's customers range from startups to consulting firms to Fortune 100 organizations.

HISTORY

Jama was created by project managers frustrated with expensive, cumbersome legacy tools that team members refused to use.  After searching for and not finding a web-based solution that offered the depth required for enterprise class product development, Jama Software was launched.

OPEN PLATFORMS

We believe that open standards are important.  Companies should be able to assemble the best of breed software tools for their unique needs and configure those packages to work together.  We've built Contour with that belief in mind.  Contour runs on most any platform (Windows, Unix, Linux etc), uses most any relational database (Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft, DB2), uses standard CSS for look and feel, can change terminology or language and connects to other systems on may different levels.

THE FUTURE

Contour is a customer driven product with our development roadmap created directly from customer feedback and input.  Some of our best features have come from customer requests.  The team takes pride in our rapid release cycle and customers appreciate seeing feature requests rolled out in a matter of weeks or months - not years.
